Many forums, Blogs, and other web services allow you to have images as part of your signature. twitsig.com allows you to display your current twitter status as an image.

To use, just reference http://twitsig.com/TwitterName.png where TwitterName is the twitter user you want to display.

For Example to display twitsig's news Twitter as part of a forum signature you might add:

FAQ/Help

Q: Why don't I see anything in the twitsig image?

A: Make sure you have twitter set to public. Twitsig doesn't work with private twitters since it can't see what your status is.
Once you make your twitter public it takes 5-10 minutes before twitsig will show your correct status.

It could also be that twitter is down, and sending failwhale love to the universe.
Also, twitsig only checks your last three tweets. If they are all @replies it won't display any of them. (This will be fixed so it displayes the most recent one even if it is an @reply.

Q: Why doesn't twitsig show my most recent status?

A: The two most common reasons for this are

Twitsig cache's data for several minutes to cut down on the load on twitter, as well as the twitsig servers
Tiwtsig doesn't show @replies. This was an early user request and the assumption is people don't want to see one side of a conversation.

Q: Can I display a spicific tweet instead of the most recent one??

A: Yes, all you need is the tweet number. the format is:
http://twitsig.com/static/872687511.png

You can use resize, and fortune modifiers on these as well.

Q: Can I change the size of the image?

A: To chance the size put -WxH after your twitter name, and before the file extension where W is the width you want, and H is the height you want. for example: if your twitter name is jasonr your twitsig url is:
http://twitsig.com/jasonr.png

If you want to resize it you would use:
http://twitsig.com/jasonr-200x66.png

Q: How does twitsig handle twitpic/brightkite?

A: If you have a tweet that uses a twitpic or a bkite, that picture will be used instead of your user picture.
